Going Back to My Roots

I have been thinking back to my childhood lunches lately.  Turkey sandwiches with mayo and mustard.  So today I made a big kids turkey sandwich.

Whole wheat bread, tofurky slices, Dijon mustard, yellow mustard, horseradish pickles, smoked cheese and shredded iceberg lettuce.  It was delicious.  Almost like how I remembered.

I usually hate eating a lot throughout the day if I plan to workout late but I had a lot of studying ahead of me so I had to fuel the brain.

A trusted handyman from Sears came to look at our broken treadmill.  It needs a 100 dollar part and that's without labor.  The head frame is cracked.  The part needs to be ordered so the nice man put a 2x4 underneath it to keep it steady so I can run on it.

I tested it out by doing a mile, and then I lifted some weights to make it a full workout.  I can start seeing definition in my arms again.

For dinner my mom had picked up some new products at the store.

Butternut squash bisque sounded like a good bet.  I didn't care for the sweetness but overall it was a good Fall soup to eat on a cold snowy or rainy day.  Next time I will add some corn or peas to give it more of a substance.  I don't care for thin soups.

I ended the night with a spoonful of Nutella.  Reminds me of France every time.
