Let's Talk About Beer

I am a product of my parents.

I love beer and wine.

For as long as I can remember my parents have gone on wine trips.  I would be dropped off at my grandparents and a week later I was greeted with fancy cheese sticks, chocolates and sparking grape juice.

Now that I am 21 I am now allowed to travel along to the lands of wine.

Now let's get this straight.  I am not a 21 year old who dances on bars and takes shots from strangers belly buttons.  I am a little bit classier.

I savor the flavors and appreciate the quality.  My seasonal favorite you may have guessed is pumpkin.

Out of the beers above I would have to say Schlafly is my number one side kick for the cold crisp weather which accompanies Missouri Fall season.  It is a pumpkin pie in a glass.

I am not a hoppy girl but much of any other beer I can sip a glass or two.

I turned 21 in August so I haven't had the opportunity to go to many wineries but I do recommend going to a little town named Weston.  In Weston Missouri you will find the best of both worlds: O'Malley's Brewery and Pirtle Winery.

O'Malley's is an underground bar.  It smells of musk, smoke and alcohol but throw in a kickin' Irish band and the atmosphere is superior.

Pirtle Winery is in what looks like an old school house and almost always quiet (except for Apple Fest weekend).  You try a few wines.  Pick a bottle, order a basket and go outside in their quaint garden and have a romantic picnic.

I highly recommend the cherry chocolate wine.  Trust the master,  you will not regret it.

And those so far are my recommendations.
