Yesterday was a busy, busy day. Every other Wednesday's my life is centered around the school newspaper because of layout day. We have a deadline and we have to make it. We usually work on the paper from 1-10 at night and all day before that I am at school so I have to manage me time and meals around these events. Luckily I live a block or so away from the school.
In between classes I come home to workout and eat lunch. My workout schedule looks something like this:
Monday: Insanity
Tuesday: Jillian Michaels
Wednesday: run 3 miles outside
Thursday: P90x
Friday: weights and run 3-4 miles
Saturday: weights and run 3-4 miles
Sunday: weights and run 3-4 miles
This vary's depending on if I am home (we have a good sized gym because my dad use to be a body builder) or if I am in our tiny apartment. I like to keep it fun and interesting. Sometimes I might even run everyday if it is nice outside.
Yesterday I did P90x Plyo which is one of my favorite workouts. Afterwards I used my juicer. When I am starting to feel like I haven't been eating well I get my juicer out. I hate the process of putting it together and cleaning it but in the long run it is worth it. Yesterday I juiced a peach, strawberries and one apple.
In a hurry I need lunch so I looked in my fridge and came up with a variety of mushy leftovers but overall it was healthy and tasted good.
Roasted Vegetables, fat free mashed potatoes, salad mix with black olives and parm cheese. I also used normal ranch. Some fat free products taste like snot. I need the real deal.
This was around 400 calories.
I normall don't count calories because I am so use to how I eat I usually put a dish together with the right amount of calories.
When walking back to my car from class I had to take a photo of the last days of Fall. We won't be seeing leaves on the trees before too long.
And then sometimes when you are working late nights laying out the paper you might make some bad choices. I do the best I can with how I eat and I don't have any regrets.
And for a quick dinner when you get home late you might turn to a frozen dinner. I ended up just having the healthy choice with some mashed potatoes. No morning Star but I did have that this morning. YUMMY!
This is how I eat on a busy busy day. Sometimes I eat worse than this and sometimes I eat better. I only have one life to live so I do allow myself food if I want it. It is all in moderation.
Also I made some more bread this morning for Richard. He was upset I took the rest home to my family. I have some more recipes to come soon!
We ended up not going to the Skrillex concert. It was late and I was tired. It was also an hour away and started at 9:00. You might call us an old married couple but something just told me to stay home. Weird how you get those intuitions. Have you ever had an intuition?
